“I’m deeply grateful to the entire K2 staff for the incredible growth my son has experienced in just one year. His progress, discipline, and confidence have surpassed every expectation. Beyond his physical development and athletic skills, Alex has matured, grown, and evolved in ways that go far beyond sports.
What truly means the most is the relationships he has built — friendships that have become like family. They’ve created a supportive community where they motivate each other, push each other, and celebrate each other’s wins. The impact is bigger than training; it’s been transformational for his character, emotional well-being, and sense of belonging.
K2 has been so much more than a training center — it has played a key role in shaping him into the young man he is becoming.”

"K2 Training has made a huge impact on my son Roman’s development. The trainers focus on positivity, proper mechanics, and building confidence — not just reps or hype. Their advanced facility and use of cutting-edge technology make them the best Puerto Rico has to offer, and it shows in the results that are constantly measured. Since joining, Roman’s hitting, arm strength, and — most importantly — his confidence have all taken a major leap, contributing to his selection to the Puerto Rico National Team.
The atmosphere at K2 is positive, motivating, and welcoming — the kind of environment where athletes thrive. They treat the kids like family, and Roman looks forward to every session. K2 has been an incredible part of his growth, and they will continue to be an integral part of his development going forward."

"My name is Alberto Rivera, and I want to share my experience as the father of two athletes who are part of K2 Training & Development. We have been clients since day one, back when everything started in a small space that functioned solely as a gym. Even then, I believed in the vision of Carlos Díaz (Caturo), which is why I decided to enroll my oldest son, Alberto Rivera Maldonado, nearly three years ago, trusting completely in his project and in what discipline and structure could help him achieve.
When Alberto began at K2, he had clear deficiencies in strength, explosiveness, and mobility. From day one, he was given a specialized plan with well-outlined goals—realistic yet challenging. Through sacrifice, commitment, and the right guidance, I can proudly say that we have reached—and in many cases surpassed—those objectives. His development has been remarkable.
Alongside my son’s progress, I have also witnessed the evolution of Carlos Díaz’s dream and vision. What started as a small space has transformed, through hard work and persistence, into what I consider the best training and hitting facility in Puerto Rico. After securing the location where they operate today, and together with an extraordinary team that includes Lina Restrepo, José “Blanky” Rivera, among others, they established a truly complete and professional center.
During that journey, I also enrolled my younger son, Joaquín Rivera Maldonado, in the Next Gen program, which has allowed him to begin developing early, building the correct foundation to eventually transition into the regular program at the gym. It has been an invaluable opportunity for his growth.
Today, the results of Alberto and Joaquín speak for themselves. Both are proof that with effort, discipline, and the guidance of a knowledgeable, dedicated, and passionate team, any athlete can reach their goals and develop at the highest level.
In the end, K2 Training & Development is not just a training center — it has become a family for us."

Gabriel Doel joined K2 Training at 15 years old weighing just 130 pounds. From day one, he showed natural catching ability — a 2.0 pop time and a 70 mph throwing velocity — but, like many young players in Puerto Rico, he lacked a structured development plan. His weekly routine consisted of only two practices and weekend games, leaving little room for true athletic growth.
The K2 Training team conducted a full evaluation of his physical condition, mechanics, and off-field habits. During the first months, he began an integrated program that combined progressive strength training, performance-based nutrition guidance, and recovery protocols to optimize rest. Within three months, the changes were undeniable: increased muscle mass, better stability and explosiveness, and more efficient catching mechanics.
At that point, I realized the K2 Training system truly works. I made the decision to pause his competitive play so he could fully commit to a structured development process — a decision that became a turning point in his journey.
Today, Gabriel Doel weighs 168 pounds, posts a 1.83 pop time, and throws 82 mph from the catcher position. These results are not accidental; they are the outcome of a solid technical program, daily consistency, and K2 Training’s culture of excellence.
But beyond metrics and physical performance, Gabriel gained something equally valuable: confidence. At K2 Training, he has been treated with professionalism, respect, and a sense of family that has strengthened his mindset and his commitment to growth.
K2 Training didn’t just transform his body and his game — it transformed his future.
