Neithan J. Quiles Nuñez

Rooted in Culture. Driven by Purpose.

Neithan J. Quiles Nuñez, 11 years old, was born on July 30, 2014, in Bayamón, Puerto Rico. From an early age, Neithan demonstrated curiosity, energy, and a natural talent for expression. At just two years old, during a family celebration, he surprised everyone by playing music, dancing, and singing. This moment led his parents to enroll him in Bomba y Plena workshops, where he learned to play the drum and dance, developing a deep love and respect for Puerto Rican culture—something he continues to embrace today through music.

Neithan’s athletic journey began at age four when he expressed interest in sports and started playing basketball. However, his true passion emerged while watching a Major League Baseball game with his father, when he decided he wanted to play baseball. Inspired by Francisco Lindor, whom he admires for his leadership, passion, and family values, Neithan began his baseball career in 2019 with the Guapos of Dorado.

Throughout his development, he has played with several teams, including the Guapos, Royals, Legendarios, and Panthers, competing in the American Congress leagues of Vega Alta and Bayamón. Over the years, Neithan has grown into a versatile and skilled player, currently excelling as a shortstop and second baseman.

In 2023, while continuing his baseball development, his parents noticed his exceptional speed and agility and introduced him to track and field. Neithan quickly stood out, competing in multiple events and becoming a two-time consecutive champion in the 50-meter dash in the 10–11 age category.

Off the field, Neithan is known for being mature, respectful, disciplined, and deeply passionate about everything he pursues. These qualities have allowed him to excel not only in sports but also academically. He is currently a sixth-grade student at Emadrian Bilingual School and has consistently earned honors recognition.

Neithan aspires to continue growing as a well-rounded student-athlete, guided by humility, perseverance, and a strong desire to improve—both on and off the field.
