My name is Kariel Emil Nuñez Rivera, I am 11 years old and currently attend Manuel Velilla Cabrera School in Toa Alta, Puerto Rico, where I also live with my parents and my sister. I play baseball primarily as a Center Fielder and Third Baseman.
I began playing baseball at the age of four, and by ages five and six I joined my first team, Los Guapos, where my development in the sport began. Soon after, I was selected as a reinforcement player for Los Royla’s, competing in state tournaments and continuing with them through ages seven and eight. From ages nine to ten, I played with Los Legendarios, further strengthening my skills and love for the game.
One of the most meaningful experiences of my baseball journey came when I was selected through a tryout to represent Puerto Rico, giving me the opportunity to compete internationally in Mexico—an experience I consider one of the best of my life. Most recently, I competed in the Puerto Rico Federation Tournament with Team Legacy.
Baseball has always been a big part of my life. It brings me happiness, has given me unforgettable experiences, and has allowed me to build strong friendships. Outside of baseball, I enjoy playing basketball and soccer with my friends, spending time with my family, and going on outings.
My greatest inspiration in baseball is Francisco Lindor, because of his leadership on and off the field, his discipline, dedication, and positive attitude toward the game and life.
