Jayron Omar Velázquez Flores was born on July 2, 2011, in Humacao, Puerto Rico, and currently resides in Yabucoa. He began playing baseball at the age of four in the Juan A. Bibiloni Little League in Yabucoa, where he developed a strong foundation and passion for the sport.

Jayron primarily plays the catcher position, standing out for his leadership, discipline, and high baseball IQ. He has competed at advanced competitive levels from an early age, including participation in the 15U federative tournament since age 13.

His experience includes representing Puerto Rico internationally at the Caribbean Regional Tournament in the Dominican Republic, competing in the Pony League World Tournament, and being selected in August 2024 to participate in the Cal Ripken World Series held in Brandon, Missouri.

Currently, Jayron is a member of the Tornados Baseball Organization, the 13U American Congress League champions.

Academically, he graduated with honors from Rogelio Rosado School and is currently enrolled at the Puerto Rico Baseball Academy & High School (PRBAHS), where he balances his academic education with structured athletic development.

From the age of 11, Jayron trained under the guidance of Wilfredo “Puchungo” González, who played a key role in shaping his technical skills and discipline as an athlete.

On February 9, 2025, Jayron was inducted into the Yabucoa Sports Hall of Fame, recognizing his athletic achievements and positive impact as a young representative of his community.

Jayron is recognized as a dedicated student-athlete with strong values, discipline, and a clear commitment to his personal and athletic growth.
